You know those moments where you look around at your life and quietly ask ... How did I end up here?

This question sparked a shift in my life that changed everything. And if you’re asking it too, you’re not alone.

Welcome I’m Kaylee, and this is the story behind The Intentional Life Project.

I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.

Because if you’re anything like I was, maybe you’ve had a moment lately where you looked around at your life and quietly asked yourself…

“How did I end up here?”

I created The Intentional Life Project to help women like us reconnect with what matters; one intentional choice at a time.

This isn’t about doing more. It’s about waking up to the life you already have—and deciding to shape it with care.

My life looked good on paper, but I felt so far from myself.

I had a conundrum… I’m a driven, analytical, ambitious woman. As much as my heart was telling me to pursue my creativity and arts, I followed the “smart” path presented… you know the one: University, corporate career, chasing titles and promotions. And, frankly, I did it well. Graduating with honors, climbing the corporate ladder with ease.

But, through it all, I felt so far from myself. I was succeeding on paper. Inside, however, I felt like I was moving through my life instead of living it. I kept achieving milestones, but inside I felt... numb.

Burnt out. Uninspired. Almost like I was watching someone else’s life from the outside.

I couldn’t help but wonder: “Is this it?”

“The choices that brought me to ‘here’ were not the ones that could lead me to ‘there.’”

I knew all along that the decisions I’d been making were shaped more by fear, social expectations, and other people’s definitions of success… than by my own desires for MY life.

So I began to release myself from these expectations. How? By asking some new questions…

I replaced, “What should I do?”, with:

“What do I want to feel?”
“What would my life look like if it were truly mine?”
“Where is my joy? My clarity? My alignment?”

I wasn’t looking for a total escape—I was looking for a return.
To myself.
To a life I could feel connected to.
That’s when I began what I now call my intentional life project.

I opened my journal and wrote, “What would my life feel like if I was truly living it?” That question sparked a shift I couldn’t unsee.

What began as a quiet shift in my own life eventually turned into something I wanted to share.

I created The Intentional Life Project as a way to offer:

  • Simple, thoughtful resources that help women reconnect with themselves

  • Journals, rituals, and planners that support presence and emotional clarity

  • Gentle guidance for those seeking more fulfillment in their everyday moments

This isn’t about overhauling your life overnight.
It’s about noticing what’s no longer aligned and beginning to move gently toward what is.

The more I researched, reflected, and spoke to other women, the more I saw the pattern:

I kept hearing the same quiet truth from women everywhere: They had checked all the boxes—but still felt disconnected from themselves. And they knew it.

We’ve been told that being successful means being productive.
That stability is more important than joy.
That titles matter more than how we feel when we wake up each morning.
That asking for more—presence, ease, depth—makes us ungrateful.

But I believe the opposite. I believe that fulfillment isn’t about the end goal, it’s about the everyday and making the simple moments feel magical and aligned.

So… where are you right now?

Maybe you’re “successful” on paper, but your heart isn’t aligned.
Maybe you’re showing up for everyone, but struggling to do so for yourself.
Maybe you’re just tired of rushing through a life that doesn’t feel fully yours.

You don’t need to do everything. You just need to begin—one intentional step at at time
